Bids for Housing Rehabilitation
Separate sealed bids (three copies) for the rehabilitation of Three Houses under the Town of Enfield 2019 Community Development Block Grant – Neighborhood Revitalization project will be received by the Town of Enfield at the Town Hall located at 121 SE Railroad Street, Enfield, NC 27823 at 11:30 am, February 5, 2021, and then publicly opened and read aloud at Municipal Building, located at 200 Whitfield Street, Enfield, NC 27823. Work to be performed by the Housing Rehabilitation Contractor is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD-assisted projects covered by Section 3, shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.
The Town of Enfield is an Equal Opportunity Employer and service provider and encourages participation by small, minority, and female-head firms. The Town of Enfield reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. The Town has received $719,250.00 in Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant – Neighborhood Revitalization funding, representing 100% of the total project costs, to undertake community revitalization and housing activities within the Town.
