On Friday, July 31 at 10am, a Drive-Through Ribbon Cutting will take place at the Enfield Public Library, to celebrate the launch of Wave 7 Communications, a new local internet provider bringing access to faster broadband internet to the Enfield community.
Wave 7 Communications is powered by Althea, a system that enables communities to build and maintain their own decentralized internet infrastructure. The company partnered with Althea in April 2020 and is one of the first networks to launch in the Halifax County area.
